A couple of weeks ago we were invited down to London for a Tesco Toy Casting; at RADA no less.

Our travel expenses were paid for and as the boys had never been to London we decided to make a weekend of it and visit some friends we see all too rarely.

It was my birthday last week. 39. That’s thirty-nine. NOT 40! How can I be so sure? Janet insisted I produce my passport as proof, that’s how!

Alton Towers

alton towers sonicA couple of weeks ago I saw an advert for Gulliver’s World and thought what most people do, lets go to Alton Towers! Lets face it, they don’t need to advertise as every other Theme Park does it for them.

Come September our day trips will be consigned to the horrors of the school holidays, and with our eleven year old nephew visiting thanks to the early release policy of the Scottish education system it seemed too good an opportunity to miss.… read the full post.

Weekend in Tarn

tarnEvery few years we have a weekend away with our extended family of Bryce/Mackies. The Mackies head South of the border, and we drive North until we meet half-way; in a beautifully converted barn in the Lake District.
